I have never ordered from a food delivery service and thought what the *** Id give it a try. Big Mistake on my behalf.
First of all they charged my card twice, once was for the food I did order then charged me again the very next day. When I called to talk with customer service I got absolutely no where, the customer service person I spoke with told me there was nothing they could do about it since the food I ordered was already in route to me. I said ok but I DIDNT order a second time. I requested to speak with a manager and was told that wasnt possible but he could leave a note and I would get a call back within 24 hours.
Will you guessed it, the 24 goes came and went with no call so I called back.
This time was even more frustrating, explaining to the distant what the problem was on the phone for 40 minutes and again I was told they DO NOT give refunds. I lost it, I told them to cancel my subscription immediately and that I would be writing a poor review on them with Pissed Consumer.

I am on my 4th box from EveryPlate. To date, I have received a weekly notification reminding me to login to my account to either select my meals or skip the week.
However, today (11/17/2023) when I checked my bank account, I noticed a charge for EveryPlate and realized that I hadn't received a notification like I usually do. Sure enough, an order of pre-selected meals was automatically submitted yesterday (11/16/2023).
I reached out to Customer Service (at noon - only 12 hours AFTER the order was automatically placed) hoping that they would be able to assist, because my family is traveling out of town all next week to visit family (when the box is expected to be delivered). We don't have anyone local that could pickup the box or house it for us. So this food would be sitting on my porch rotting for a week.
I was told by Customer Service that they ONLY send out notification reminders for the first 3 boxes.
After that, they just "assume" the customer is going to order weekly. I was unaware of this change, as I greatly depended on those notifications. I was also told that because the payment had already been processed, and the orders sent to be packaged, there was nothing they could do to assist.
I haven't been receiving tracking #'s for my EveryPlate boxes until the day before delivery. So, I have a hard time believing that there is nothing they could do when the order was only submitted 12 hours prior to my reaching out.
I also think it is incredibly unethical to STOP notifying customers prior to submitting a charge. I understand, I agreed to that when I signed up. But EveryPlate set the expectation early on that I would receive a notification reminder prior to my order deadline, so to stop providing those notifications after only 3 orders without any notification of this change, is incredibly misleading and unprofessional.
I even asked if my box could simply be shifted to another week, they said no. I wasn't looking for a refund, but it breaks my heart to know that a weeks worth of food is going to rot on my porch due to EveryPlate's negligence in changing their process for customer notifications prior to order deadlines.
Up until this point, I was overall satisfied with EveryPlate and my family actually looked forward to our meals.
However, this poor customer service and lack of empathy to assist have caused them to lose an otherwise loyal customer. I hope it was worth it.
As a note to anyone considering EveryPlate: Don't rely on their notifications to remind you to select your meals or skip.
Because they will only send them your first 3 boxes. After that, you're on your own and they won't help you when you're in a bind.
It's all about the money.
